Crowdfunding recording Hofklanken 1715 – Huguenet & Philidor
Which project?
At the end of April 2025, Musica Gloria will record an album with French music! We delved into the archives again and found irresistible suites composed by violinist Jacques Huguenet and oboist Pierre Danican Philidor. They both worked at the French court around 1715. It was quite a task to select from their vast amount of compositions and in the meantime, our programme is on our music stand! We will play the premiere of this programme in Bruges on Sunday 4 May: link.
Which instrumentation?
For this project, Musica Gloria will consist of 8 musicians: Nele Vertommen baroque oboe & direction, Shunsuke Kawai baroque oboe, José Rodrigues Gomes baroque bassoon, Elise Dupont & Lena Rademann baroque violin, Barbara Hünninger viola da gamba, Giulio Quirici theorbo & guitar & Beniamino Paganini harpsichord, traverso & direction.
Why crowdfunding?
We are happy that after great efforts, most of the funding is in place. However, to cover all costs, we still need €6,000. For this purpose, we are launching this crowdfunding. If this amount is exceeded, we will use it integrally for our next recording project. We have many ideas to continue delighting our audience!
